Suggestion for Benchmade... Classics series
You know we have had some luck here on the forum. The 806-901, the Axis Stryker... To be honest I think out collective suggestions have done well if you ask me... Well lets go big.
I suggest Benchmade introduce a "Classic Line." Here is how it would work. Each year they pick a classic (out of production or maybe even in production) and they produce that knife for one year.
Say a blue/black G-10 Ares in M390 for one year
Or a green/black G-10 AFCK in S90V for one year
You get the point... Think it would rock myself.

Would be a great idea. Could also do it like the KOTM. I love the classics and actually prefer them to a lot of the newer models. Classics with something new/special would sell 0 -
I think Remington does this with one "classic" rifle each year. I'm sure lots of guys always buy the Classic, if nothing else.
Making it one of the open stock models (with no quantity limit) through the year would be a plus.
This would be much easier for the company to do than the old KOTM program.0 -
Supersteel Rukus please. I'm probably the only one interested, but one customer is enough to justify a production run, right?
EDIT: I'd love a blue/black Ares though, so I don't have to keep lusting after that Russian limited edition.0 -

I'm in on the Rukus, the full size one.0 -
3 for the ruckus. Mini is fine as well. 0 -
I would certainly be in, depending on the model. 0 -
I’d be more excited to see these in satin PE M390:
610 or 615
630 or 635
Meh on the Ares or AFCK, they’ve already been done and then some.0 -
I’ve always really liked the 740 Dejavoo (LUM’s designs rocked!).
Upgrade it with an axis lock (if possible) and satin M390 - I’d buy a few.0 -
I absolutely am wanting an upgraded super steel on the Rukus or Skirmish... Both actually.
But I'd only be interested in the 610 and 630.
Full size for the win.
I had these in mind even before reading the comments previous to mine. Glad to see some similar interest.
Let's hope this happens.
Fingers crossed.0 -
Great idea. That would be...well, classic.

This is a great idea. It would certainly be a winner for BM. It would not be hard for them to come up with enough classics to last a decade at least. 0 -
See also previous thread about which models are "iconic."

green/black G-10 AFCK 812 in S90V for one year
or
The 7400 -
Oh yeah, I'd be in for this for sure. 610 or 615, or AFCK. have two 615 variations, but only S30V. A new 610 with a steel upgrade??

You hear this, Benchmade?! Give the People what they want! Please bring back the 610! Pretty please!

That is a really good idea.
The classic series.0 -
Well then I may have to move back into the hut made from Benchmade boxes...
So you know what that means... We can't let this thread die.0 -
If this does eventually go somewhere...
How do you guys feel about not serializing the blade?
Looks tacky and superfluous for me personally and takes away from the natural beauty of the blade.0 -
I like the idea of having the numbers 1 of 300.
Makes the knife more limited.
BUT, I agree with PM, it should be much smaller.0 -
Maybe we could get small numbering near the thumb stud, like on the gold class series. 0 -

Much more classy IMO. I’ve been harping on that for while, everyone else doesn’t seem all too bothered by the current format - unfortunately...
I look at knives like the 615-1501 with the tacky format and say whhhhhyyyy people... whhhhhhyyyy

I'm in for a classic series
740
630
610
AFCK
AFCK Mini
7900 -
Another super steel TSEK. 805 is at the top of my list. 0 -

Wait now, That's a spectacular model, IMO! I usually hate black blades, but that green G10 gets me. I actually carried 616 at work today. Weird
Or shen you say format, is that just the numbering you don't like?0 -
I think this would be a great idea. It would be a great way for me to pick up some of the discontinued models I never got to buy. 610, AFCK and others would be awesome! 0 -
I would love to see a model 723 with black G-10 and an s90v blade. 0 -

Just the numbering format
I dislike the same thing on this knife:
(There’s definitely too much going on and it looks tacky with all the branding)
Could of been much more discreet/tasteful IMO0 -

Make that plain edge and we are talking!
How they never made a p/e of this variant is boarder line criminal!
Also, always down for a kray kray 960 variant.0 -
