710 with M2HS

I have a model 710 with the M2HS steel blade. Although I no longer have the box, it has never been carried or sharpened. I know that these knives are fairly rare. Does anyone have any idea as to what it might be worth? Also, how many of the 710's with this steel were made? Thanks for any input!

  More sought after plane edge, or S model? Oh, and welcome to the forum.
  
  On the "auction site" a serrated recently went for $175 NIB and a PE for just under $200 NIB.

  I haven't seen any sell recently, so it's kind of hard to guess at the value, but they are getting pretty hard to find - also, not having a box will lower the value somewhat and a plain edge will be worth more than the serrated version.
  
  I believe it was a regular production model and not a limited run, so I would guess a lot of them were made, but as I said they are getting hard to find.

  To give you a straight answer, I'd say $200-250 if you hold out for the right buyer. Hard part is you don't have the box which will be a slight hit on the collector value. The good news is the M2HS steel is legendary and I know a lot of people that would pay that price to experience it. I think that M4 has finally won the M2 crowd over, so I don't think it'll pull what it would have before the introduction of M4.

  On this site not having the box will bring the price down as mentioned, but you could easily ask $200 for it.
  That would be a totally fair starting price.
  
  I think you'd move it for that. Especially if you find somebody looking for a user. Why would a user care about the box? Or maybe somebody who mods their 710's?
  
  On any other site I dunno if the box is as big a deal.
  If I were were selling it on flea bay I'd start it at least $250 easy.
  I see inflated 710 prices there all the time.
