162 Bushcrafter
Picked up a 162 yesterday and could not be happier. Really feels good in the hand and it's not as heavy as I had expected. Used it for some food prep last night and while it's not a kitchen knife it did very well. Once the snow melts and things warm up I'll be putting it through it's paces outside. Biggest chunk of S30v I own.

The bushcraft reviewers like the 162. At least the two or three reviews I've seen have been quite positive.
I don't get the partial sabre grind myself, seems to be a trademark of bushcraft knives these days. Maybe it is just a homage to the Puuko type outdoor knives. I would go with a full width convex grind with a zero edge if I were making a "bushcraft" knife.
Even though S30V is tough on paper, I've always been a little bit skeptical, but the test videos Benchmade made are impressive. Bushcraft knives from custom makers, traditional brands, tend to be tool steel. I would think a bushcraft knife in a premium stainless would be an asset. In fact 420HC or some equivalent would be excellent, it is relatively tough if not over hardened, way corrosion resistant, takes a fine edge and would be pretty easy to sharpen on a smooth river rock.

Love mine and my favorite med size fixed blade. Can not say enough good about this knife. It just works well hunting fishing camping. To sum it up "money well spent" 0
