hi there,

i am wondering if any of you know a small/nano spring assisted knife?

i'm not looking to carry - just to kinda "have one" on my desk to open mails, new packages, etc.

Dunno about little spring assisteds, but the 3150 Impel auto with the <2" blade, legal just about everywhere would be a good option.

My wife used to carry one of these all the time , till someone stole it at her work

I bought her another one and then a Spydie ladybug, that was the cats azz until I got her the ( Gayle Bradley Air CLIPIT, CPM-M4, Silver Glass Fiber Handle) She uses this one more , for now anyway.....LOL

Yah I tell my wife that all the time, but it never works. So really what do you put on her cereal to keep her happy???

haha you guys are funny..

i noticed that 3150 Impel auto is fairly expensive. is this what i should be expecting to pay? i'm really looking for like a $20 range to just "play" with it. hehe

anyways, maybe i'll just order a cheap one from bladeplay. haha

hahaha thanks everyone.
i think i was more interested in just to have one to paly around with as opposed to having one for dependency.
this is my first time getting into blades and i'm starting off with a mini grip for now. but as any hobbiest knows... it's only the beginning!

I think you will be happy with the mini grip. It is a great knife. After you break in the axis lock you will it is nearly as fast as a spring assist. I have personally found this true. The mini grip is lighter as well. With the smaller knives it is easy to flip open and after 100 or so openings it is nice an smooth (plus a little oil on the pivot). On larger, heavier blades the argument can be made the assisted is faster. I think many, many people here will say their first BM was a grip or mini grip. It's a great bargain, you get the quality axis lock BM is famous for at a good price. You get a minimum today of 154 cm (great steel). The grips are comfortable and grippy, but only made of noryl GTX or fiberglass reinforced plastic. (not that they will break). Welcome to the forum.
