710 Silver twill
OK.
Here's my latest.
A 710 in silver twill using all the original BM hardware. I've done 710's with aftermarket standoffs many times before. Now the new 710 comes with spacers of its own already on the knife. The problem is, these spacers are not threaded. So, I can't put one screw in from either side like I do with the aftermarket standoffs. So, in order to use the existing spacers, I need to use the existing anchoring system. So, here's the scales.
Note: the above pics were before I "over" countersink the screw holes enabling the original screws to be used.
See the difference?

Very nice! 0 -
So would this be the same fix you would do for the newest 710-3? (M4 with clear Cerakote)
I see a back spacer. In the case of the 710-3 could you still use the stand offs it comes with?
Nice work again. I like the solid scales. I think I like the holes better, but this lets you enjoy the full slab of twill.

Excellent - it's what the 710-3 was supposed to look like (if it did, I'd have at least one by now) nicely done! 0 -
Think the silver twill is my favorite one. Probably because I don't see too many of them. Very nice work. 0 -
