My 581 is a bloody fantastic slicer, which I put down to the fact it is a near FFG.

I will second that, the edge on mine is amazing. I welcome more FFG blades in the lineup.

It depends on what our designers and engineers have come up with for 2013. Since the new knives are still in development and we will have more information on blade details as we get closer to the end of the year. Once I know more I will let you know.
