Omega Springs

So I have a lot of benchmades, (not compared to some of you) some of which are more than 10 years old. I've never had an omega spring break. I don't hear people talk about it much here either.

However, on blade forum I feel like it's once a week someone complaining about omega springs breaking, then a bunch of people chiming in saying that it happens all the time and they need to send it back.

What are these people doing with their knives? How do you break one of those springs?

  as far as the percentage goes, it really doesn't mean much since the numbers are per person, and I suspect that pretty much everyone that answered has had more than one axis lock knife, and a lot of us have had several dozen.
  
  I think to be fair, you would need to compare it to the number of failures on other types of locks.

  I agree. We all see the axis as perhaps the best locking mechanism made to date. That being said, you still can't have 101 per cent...
