That's one of the things I love about the steel pens, they're really hefty. I recently got a stainless steel version, and it was a bit disconcerting at first. Now I really love it.

I'm the same way. When I got my damasteel pen I kinda freaked out...after 2 days of use I LOVE the thing.

I write on triple carbon copy contracs often. So, the extra weight is welcome as i do not have to press as hard to make it thru to the last copy.
The ti pen is a very attractive weight. at about an ounce lighter than the damascus and stainless steel pen. but heavier than the aluminum pens by an ounce.

depending on the environment i am going into sometimes a heavier pen is desirable. I enjoy having a metal pen on me often. as the have no chance of breakingin half if i happen to sit on it. unlike so many other pens.

Almost a freebie, the place I had the certificate to doesn't have the coupon code that the knife place that works has, so I had to chip in $57.50 of my own monies. Still not a bad price for a damasteel pen.

ran across one of these at a local shop here the other day.

I must say that I was really impressed with it. Weight was not as bad as I thought it would be, and visual it was phenomenal.

They were looking for $250 for it though, so I had to pass...

That knife place that was slinging our forum knives has one for almost $100 less than that with the discount.

Not much of a savings for me when it will cost me about $80 for shipping, insurance, and duty...

I like mine, carry it every day and use it at work. Only thing I'd change is I wish the Damascus had more contrast. Would a different acid bring the pattern out more or would it have to be a different steel?

Also, I wish the space pen cartridges wrote smoother. I'm debating on finding a gel ink cartridge that'll fit. Any recommendations?
