I will have to keep track of this thread, as I am also curious. Seems like a pretty nice knife. Shame I have no dealers around me to go see it in person.

When you receive yours NSA, you should write a review of it here. I am sure many besides Shepherd and myself would love to hear about it.

nah, po would do a better job on any review; especially where an assisted knife is involved.

Ugh, fine. But I will still value your opinion of the knife when you receive it.

The 6800 is out but I don't think the 665 has shipped yet.

I've handled the 6800. It's nice, but not really a game changer IMO.

I've got a pre-order in on one, more because I really like the lines of the knife than for the new lock. It will be interesting to finally see it though.

    NSA, your fans are waiting.

HA, I'm not anyone's fan. And I would hope you do a review on the knife as well Po. Since I have nowhere to look at knives like these in person, I either take a chance or rely on you guys here in the forum. That aside the knife looks great from the SHOT video I saw.

484-1 is next on my list though.

this knife is really attractive to me ...
like the blade shape and the handles ... curious with the new system ...
i'll wait impatiently for your reviews
only, point that slow me down is the 154cm ... but not that bad afterward

    Says the right-hander...

For a southpaw like me, having a second ambidextrous lock is wonderful news (Spyderco's and SOG's ambi locks just don't cut it for me).

Yeah, the 484[-1] is the new knife on the Benchmade hall of fame list in my opinion.

Intersesting knife. Not sure how the mechanism works, yet. Assisted opening. The two buttons on either side can unlock the blade if pushed seperately, or at the same time. Thin profile handles feel hollow to me.

The 154, I dont fall for the steel of the week mentality, so it's fine.

I picked one of these up and I can tell you that the handles do not feel at all hollow. This is a strong knife.
