42 v. 51
Which do you think would hold up with normal flipping? Provided the Bali isn't dropped on concrete.
I guess I'm asking when it comes to the 42 and 51 will the tang pin of the 42 or the zen pins of the 51 hold up better for basic flipping?

Totally bumped this thread sorry...
I'm assuming the zen pins are stronger. But not as good when it comes to tricks such as Chaplins.
Just curious what others think.0 -
Why wouldn't zen pins be as good for chaplains? 0 -

Long ago my 42 left me. I am looking for a replacement. Recommendations?
I really want a 42, but they appear to cost double what they sold for new. I'd like either the closest new production to it, or a beat up old one for cheap.0 -

They keep randomly popping up in the WTB forum.0 -
I used to own a 51 and I absolutely loved it. I was used to cheap knives constantly breaking and I was extremely happy with the 51. I used it constantly and never broke. I can't really say the reason other than the generally good craftsmanship but for an every day carry and play-with knife, it was great
Hope that helps!0
