That'd be quite something...
But, what? You've been stabbing the Adamas into something over and over, and the tip's just not cutting it for you?
I for one think the Adamas blade design is beefy enough and can be left alone.0 -
I love mine. I don't need a tanto version, but it would have been a cool option to have. So would an OD Green version. 0 -
Ok thanks for the reply I was just wondering if anybody knew 0 -
Can they?
Absolutely they can, easily.
The more relevant question is would they.
Perhaps at some point they will, but I do not think the Tanto is a very popular blade style to start with so personally I doubt that's a design they would go with to improve sales of the model.0 -
I'd like to see a satin finish 0 -

Me too, I would definitely be in for a satin or stonewashed version.0 -
Well, at least we have the Adamas-HB coming. An axis hawkbill has been a long time coming. 0 -
An Axis hawkbill?
For real?!
...
Can you imagine a 4" hawkbill blade in m390 with Presidio grips and an Axis lock...?!
Yes please!0 -
Aside from inflicting bone depth slashes and gutting other human biengs can someone please explain to me the advantages of a hawbill.
That's not to say I won't buy one

archer, I have used hawkbills quite a bit for both pruning plants/shrubs and for installing carpet and vinyl flooring. The old linoleum knives were hawkbills. 0 -
Electricians/Linesman, used for skinning large cable type conductors. I don't think they are as popular as they once were, many of the "old school" guys, when I was an apprentice (20+years ago) carried them, not so much today, as now I'm considered " old school".
Amazing how fast you go from "the kid" to "the old man"0 -
It's like any re-curve blade, only more pronounced/exaggerated. The advantages of such a curved blade is that it cuts so effeciently, while gathering more material into the slicing path, making cuts like butter.
Yeah, they look scary to the sheeple.
But ask yourself this:
Have you ever used one?
A sickle maybe?
Get a karambit or a wickedly re-curve blade in-hand, and cut something with it. You'll immediately hear that lightbulb inside your head when you see for yourself why the hawkbill design was such a clever one...
But this thread was pertaining to the Adamas...
And I still say the 275 Adamas is an incredibly versatile hard-use cutter, with a utilitarian blade design that is hard to beat, and is great for its all around intended use.0 -
I remember the old carpet layer sicle shaped knives, they were also used by dry wall "engineers" , and they are not so popular now adays, I think even Hannibal Lecter used one to gut one of his victims, it was a Spyderco.
Okay that's it, if Spyderco has them then BM has to make to one.0 -
Adamas-HB ?
What is this you speak of??0 -
i think tanto for combat purposes over seize to penetrate body armor . 0 -

As cool as I think it would be to have a non-coated blade on it, I don't think it's that well suited for the target market, since it is D2, and isn't for the market whose going to be maintaining their blades better than they maintain their own house, car,or health..
