They have been done, but only for some Gold Class I believe and they where bronzy gold finishes..

I think it was a finish only and never bronze itself.

    Thank You Joe,

That's what I meant, in a nut shell...

that finish will wear off so if you carry it put a regular clip on it.

Bronze is way too soft to make a pocket clip out of. It also scratches really easily.

not to mention it work hardens so readily, it would undoubtedly snap in short order...

That clip is pretty attractive... bronze anodized? It also looks to ride higher in the pocket than the standard issue. Seems a bit long but that's probably a good thing for a larger folder.

I really like the depth that adds as well as the look. Is that from Benchmade?

Thanks. This clip was knd of an accident. This is the standard clip from BM for the 615/610. It was not well recieved for flimsy/lack of retention for such a substantial knife. It was also painted as opposed to a parkerized finish that most BM clips were circa the 615/610's production years. Painted clips suck so...I was cleaning the chipped paint off my carry 615 clip,...held it over a flame to help it along and that is pretty much the result...I got lucky...came out nice.

Rumor has it that BKC is offering stouter replacement clips for the 420/610/615 models, a little birdie told me so. That would even be worth a call to ask. It must've taken someone lighting a fire to get them to realize the original clip was a bigger problem than the knives themselves ever were.
