What will be your Election Day EDC?
So what are you carrying to vote tomorrow?
I will be carrying what I carried on election day 2004...

Nothing. My voting location is an elementary school and my states law is that one cannot carry a knife on any school grounds

I voted last week, but I'll carry a Forum Knife to support the rest of you guys.

Carried an Ares in 2008, and that didn't work out so well. I'll have to go with what I carried in 2000 and 2004--Sebenza. 0 -
730-1202 tomorrow. 0 -
Great question. I love voting and have my giant sample ballot all filled out and ready to go.
I will EDC a 710 McHenry & Williams Axis Lock folding knife with D2 blade steel on a modified clip-point blade with ambidextrous dual thumb-stud openers. The handle is black G10 with 410 stainless steel liners and a reversible steel pocket clip.
Good luck to our American voters and remember. Don’t just vote. Vote responsibly backed by an understanding of who and what you are voting for. It will be a brighter future for us all.

I think that might be an issue at many voting locations, but you have the rest of the day to enjoy carring your favorite pocket knife to celebrate the day that you exercised your right to vote..

Not sure about your state, but where I am at, rules on knives are rarely enforced on adults in a school for legitimate reasons. Picking up a child, a sporting event, or voting, etc. I see knives clipped in the pockets of adults quite often. Again, maybe I am just in locations where knife carry is more accepted.0 -
M4 525 at the moment, but I may change to something else later. 0 -
Ha! Same here...in elementary school we all had slipjoint pocket knives. If the teacher needed to cut something he'd grab the first boy and say, "Gimme yer knife, I have to cut this...".quote:Big Old Boy wrote...Wow how times change when I was a kid in school I always had a knife on me.
At recess, we'd all play Mumblety Peg on the school lawn. In all those years, there were no knife fights...clear through high school.
I voted by mail, so I didn't try taking a knife into the voting booth at city hall...so I don't know if they frown on it or not.0 -
I too vote in a school building. No big deal. Take knife out of pocket, put in the truck's console, go vote, knife back in pocket. Knife, by the way is a 522 hybrid with an M4 blade. It's a combo that was recommended by a buddy, and surprisingly, I kinda like it.

Thanks for the pic Doug, the stenciling on the 470 looks really SHARP.

I didn't even think about leaving my 943 in the car when I went to vote at the local school. I took my previous one into many a courthouse and through many other security checkpoints without issue. No one has ever said a thing, other than how nice it was. Then again, I do dress nicely when I go out in public and am very respectful towards everyone else, so I usually get a pass from whoever I run into. 0 -
