    610 - No contest!
    Ruler of them all.

My vote is for the 806.

Naturally, "badass" is different for everyone
    Cool

It's not as thick as the candidates above, but to me, it's always been The Boss of knives.

If you like a stout blade, look for Shane Silbert's work - his designs have got to be the most stout and beefy of BKC's product line.

I have a Vicar and a Bushcrafter, both by Silbert, and they are larger and weigh more than the AFCK - to the point where I feel like I could use either of them as a prybar. I feel like Silbert's knives cry out to be used rather than collected.

Skirmish! Can't believe it didn't make your list!

Yeah, the 630 seems like it should be on the list. And I'm pretty certain there are some major AFCK/TSEK loving guys here who would say those need to be listed as well.
    But Po did say 'beefiest'.
    Either way,

Yeah Marty, I think I jumped in too quickly since the question was less about favorites and more about heft. I just wanted to participate

To my eye, the 810 Contego has a really intimidating profile and also should garner a few votes.

I agree, D-DorD. I actually put the AFCK first on the list, but then I realized I'd have to include the 710, Ares, Strykers, Presidio, and on and on...so I left it off. But it is boss!

No worries, bud. Participate all you like.

PS - Behind the Rukus, I'm an 810 guy, myself.

Demmit! Knew I would forget something...Thanks for adding the Skirmish, Jim! I don't want to add it to the poll 'cuz that would reset the voting, but it is definitely in the running. Folks, you will have to write in votes for the Skirmish.

I've never handled a 610. The 275 and 810 are close for me but I went with the 275.

I've never held a 610, either. My vote went with one that I'm sure won't win, but that I love. The 760 LFTi. The 760 isn't as beefy, per se, as some like the Loco, or Adamas, but it is rock solid and sturdy. A knife that can take what you dish out, and be ready for more. Great blade.

    Nice, Red.
The LFTI is definitely an underboss.

    Love the 760.

Outstanding! I was hoping the Lum would get votes...

    741

smaller overall than the 610 but has a bigger blade.

I wanted to put the 741 on the list too, and didn't...if the 860 is on the list, the 741 should be...oh well.

    Thanks for correction!

I've handled most of these only one I bough a few of is the 810. So that is my vote.

    Two questions to ask:
    1) which in the hands of a foe would cause you the most concern ( so most intimidating to me are 810 & Bedlum )
    2) which folder over all others do you wish you had in hand walking into a dark ally as the 810 is closest in design to a Emerson CQC8 which I've relied on for years that is my pick.

610 feels incredibly substantial in hand. The 420 is another beefy model. Those Ti slabs

One boss missing from the list: 420 Resistor. That thing is a *beast*.

The 757 is also a strong contender.

But ultimately, I had to cast my vote for the 610. There simply is no equal.

610 all the way, it is a beast!

I naturally voted for the Loco.
I do not believe there are any other BM's as HD as the Adamas & the Loco.

Can someone with a 610 actually measure the liner thickness, pivot, stop pin and blade thickness?

There is no doubt the 610 is a beast.
But how does it stack up against the two Hulks (Adamas & Loco)?
Come on guys, put your micrometer where your mouth is.

/|\ it obvious PO needed to clarify the definition of "Boss". Because it I was going to beat on a knife as a tool similar to hammer or screwdriver I am with Keyman hut as a defensive weapon still like the 810 hands down.

    Ok PO please clarify "Boss"

After a quick re-read and reading your comments bill; I can see that I probably need to widen my scope a bit....after all it's not all about mass.

I was thinking a mix of toughness and attitude, with the emphasis on strength. Gotta have both to be the Boss.
    Smiler
Gotta have the strength to get into the competition, then the rest is somewhat subjective.

I think there is more than one way to make the case for your choice. Liner thickness, blade thickness, and attitude make a really strong case for the Loco. The 610 Rukus doesn't lack in strength, though the case wrt attitude - call it intangibles - might be a little more complex. I think the Rukus is more ergonomic, so that accounts for my vote.

The 610 is bigger overall, but I am not sure there is much difference in the blade length between the 610 and the 808...

I will have to see what's what with the 610 after work tonight. No micrometer in my EDC rotation...

... Unless Jason or Hans or Jimmy pops in a beats me to it - I double dare you, BKC.
    Wink

Again, without any measurements to go by, other that length and overall weight, I claim the 610 as BOSS, due to a number of reasons...

Not only does it sport a 4.3" blade (with a robust S30V bladestock), it also lends itself as a mega utility tool due to it's drop point. Takes an acute edge, and the tip is just as good as a tanto in a defensive scenario, do to the heft of the knife. It pierces! Not only is the overall length of the knife ideal in a self defense situation, it's weight in hand is substantial, but not overly sloppy. It's a hulk, more than a tank. All this, in a very handsome package. The scales (micarta) provide nice asthetics, and a comfortable feel. It's like a casual dress-tactical kinda knife. Plus, there are factory scale options, although hard to find, winewood, carbon fiber, black G-10 and silver twill can be had to further dress up the knife.
It's handle is amazingly ergonomic, in a wide variety of grips. In particular, a reverse icepick grip feels amazing, with the thumb resting either flat on the handle spine, or purched up higher on the butt, either wa finding adequate jimping to prevent slippage.
Oh yeah, the blade jimping is probably my favorite out of any Benchmade. There's a good run of it, which I rather like, for changing hand positions. No way your hand can slip with your thumb locked on the jumped blade, accompanied by your index and middle finger locked into the handle's choils.
It's a do everything g knife. Mega heavy utility, or mega ferocious fighter. All in one package.
    BOSS!

The 15080 Excal. Lite, has blade size, heavy duty build, and attitude in Adamas and Loco neighborhood so perhaps a river runs through this thread.

How about that M4 chopper BM made a few years ago...other than that the skirmish is a beast
