Fake Emissary?

Was looking on ebay to see if it might be possible to get a 470 for less than $100 and saw this.

Other than being black (which may simply be a special edition that I am unaware of) it seems to have the right shape except for a lack of lock or safety. Also it appears to be missing holes for the reversible clip as well as some screws missing or added. I'm assuming its a fake but I am sadly inexperienced with BM knives so thought I'd post here.

Thanks, is there any reliable way to tell if a knife is a fake (other than just obvious differences)? For example I saw this

which looks fine except that the box it comes with is black as opposed to the blue other seem to have.

That one is real, it has the Axis Lock and Safety Lock on the right place also it appears to have the correct box and MircoFiber Bag..

They are a great knife bu the way, I bought one for my wife and it was too fast for her so I now use it...ROLMAO

Yeah, I was looking at the Leek and the 585 because I wanted to get an AO knife and the 470 seems to combine the best of both with nice steel, slim handle and a low carry clip. Only downside I can see is the price. Thank you for your help.

Well here is one way to look at it, if believe in the Mayan Calendar and think the world will end on 12/21/2012 by the Leek,

But if you don't and want a quality product that will last a lifetime and the customer service to back it up buy the 470 Benchmade... ROLMAO

I told this guy his knife was a fake days ago. He said he didn't want to be known for selling fakes but he hasn't removed it. Some of you guys should report it. I have been away from my laptop for over a week and can't do it from my phone.

Thanks for doing that AG. BKC has software tools and are a lot more effective for removing bogus eBay items than contacting the seller is;

Sometimes they don't know, but more often they do, (IMO), and it becomes a waste of time and energy.

These Fakes are a real problem and it's a complete waste of not only BMC's time but every ones.

Including the victims that buy them only to find out they have been ripped off...

It's already gone. did it have an axis lock? I haven't seen any fake 470s with axis locks yet..
