DAM Benchmade !!
I recently bought an 812 HSSR from a forum member and being an old knife , it came with Neoprene washers (or whatever there called)
So It was a little stiff and I decided to send it in for bronze washers and get it sharpened up at the same time. I also ask for a 810 contego clip also .........
I sent twenty dollars with the knife for there troubles , because I feel that stuff like this shouldnt be a warranty issue.
Well got the knife back today with new bronze washers......all cleaned up .....very very sharp and my deep carry contego clip installed.
Whats gets me is that in the package also was my twenty dollars
.......This isnt the first time they have returned my money .....I feel I should of paid ....just saying.
They (BM) deserves all the praise they get , they go well over and beyond what I feel they should.
There customer service alone will keep me a customer.

It is obvious to me...
They are a truely honourable company who stands behind their product regardless of whether it is new, 6 months old, a year old, or 10+ years old.
It's just a reminder that it is the way businesses are supposed to be run, we just see so little of it elsewhere that is is surprising when we see it.
And still yet another reason why they have earned a customer for life with me.0 -
besides, they know you because of how much money you have thrown their way.
It's just good customer relations to look after such a good customer...

DJ...just to make you feel better, send it to me and I will use it toward a Benchmade purchase at Blade. It's a win win situation..benchmade gets their 20 and you get that warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Oh ....and its not really a surgery , he calls it a procedure , which it is basically.
But in my FAT head ......it a major operation
I,ll be down for 4 days , not wiped out , just not going to work.0 -
DJ, good luck with your surgery. Do you know the difference between major surgery and minor surgery? Minor surgery is when you have surgery. Major surgery is when I have surgery!

Its just that I,ll be laid up for 4 days ......not in bed , Just not working.
Plenty of rest and wait for the swelling to go down ......LOL
Iam nervous as hell ....... but its nothin to get worked up about .I HOPE ....LOL
One good thing is that I get some kick ass relaxers ..... I,ll be awake while they do this.
Back on topic ......Iam shock at how generous BM really is.
I feel as though Ive cheated them somewhat .............the knife isnt broke , I just wanted it improved.0 -

OK, had to chuckle at this, Neoprene is the stuff they make wetsuits out of!!! That would explain why your knife was so stiff!!!
They were Nylon washers.

Yet another reason why BM is my first choice and what I always recommend to other people. To be honest I haven't had any dealings with BM's customer service, haven't needed to yet. 0 -
Doubts about the customer service of other manufacturers is why I usually don't stray too far from Benchmade. 0
