Just found this one while cruising the bay...
The box is comical at best.

I saw that one earlier. Looks similar to a 482 but a lot different. The box is hideous, what were they thinking?

That's what I thought too. Heck, I wouldn't mind seeing a larger version of the 482.
The box looks like they had a contest in a preschool class...

Because the seller is new to the bay,and this knife is up to $102 with over one day left, I sent him a message last night telling him that BM has never made a knife like that, or used that style of box...
I don't get the feeling this seller knew it was a fake, but I could be very wrong.

His response was the person he bought it from told him it was from BM, and had a receipt, which the current seller didn't get.

I told him that for his own piece of mind, and for the person who wins the auction, he should contact BM and ask about its authenticity, just for his own piece of mind...

I haven't heard back from him yet, and the listing is still active.

Well, it appears the seller didn't take my advice and contact BM to verify authenticity, because he has listed another knife exactly like the first one.
The first one sold for $148....

Clearly doesn't care that it's a fake knife... Probably cost about $8 to manufacture.

Yeah I know. I had hoped he wasn't trying to pull a fast one after I sent him a very detailed message explaining how I knew it was fake, and encouraged him to contact BM to verify this, but it fell on deaf ears I guess...

He made a very nice profit, and sadly there are many others doing the same thing...

It's bad enough when someone sells a fake, but to the unsuspecting buyer of garbage like this, any issues with the knife will give them a bad taste for BM's.

It's very frustrating to see our brand misused like that.

I just hope customers will call in and give us a chance to help sort them out as best we can when they get taken like this.

I can only imagine how frustrating it is.
I know how mad it makes me, and I don't even work for the company...

I wonder how many millions of $$$ are made every year by the people who do this ?

I'm glad to hear that Jason...When I explained to him that they were fake, he seemed sympathetic and acted like he didn't know, but he let the auction finish, AND listed the same knife again.
