Waved Axis lock knife?
Yes sir! I did a fancy job on this one by sticking it into the grinding wheel of my chain saw sharpener :d I literally spent less than one minute on this modification (it could use a little polishing
) It really works well!
Oh, before anyone gets too upset for this outrage happening to a Benchmade. I used a fake

Had me fooled for just a second, I did'nt want to believe there is actually a BM lover out there willing to try it but it looks good, nice and clean, you'll have to post a video and show us how it works. 0 -
You only forgot photo BEFORE. 0 -
Now that, that looks good. Looks a lot better then the "enemy's" version... 0 -
At first glance that knife looks like the real '205 until you compare the two, here's a pic so you can see the details. The fake is on top, BTW.

That is a pretty convincing fake sad to say. I remember someone doing something similar to a 551. 0 -
yeah I don't have the nerve to do that to a real 14205. Although I am getting closer since this thing works so well.
the ganzo fake 14205 is the closest looking fake I've ever seen. I guess it isn't technically a fake, since they don't try to put fake Benchmade and HK logos on it, but it is a copy and is stolen.
Thanks Joe for the picture. Laser see Joe's picture for what mine was like before

Hi Mike, these look-alikes are around the net, mainly seen on the big auction site though. I have had one for a week and while close, the quality in hand is very poor compared to the real ticket. Once you get used to the real Benchmade, knowing the differences is easy. 0 -
Wait, you guys supported the countrfeiters by buying their knives?
Why?0 -
Speaking for myself; My answer is it had to do with information and research. I had the opportunity to examine someone else's 'Ganzo' HK 14205 look-alike so I could educate myself on what the differences were.
I can tell you whatever the steel is it's very soft and while marked 440C I'll bet it's not.
And it was my first opportunity to get a close look at a clear patent infringement in the Axis copy used on the knife.
The main problem I have is it's such a looker that someone not trained to know the product WOULD buy it at the $$ it sold for(spelled cheap) and not know.
That's my $.02.0 -
thanks joe, on that info. no, i don't support fakes but that one looked so close to my "real" 14205, it COULD fool some folks. have a great holiday. mike 0 -
Well I always wanted to try to wave a 14205 because it seemed like there was enough steel there to do it, and this gave me the opportunity to see if it would work before ruining a Benchmade. The problem now is what Joe said... this steel is so soft it ground so easily without even heating up. I really don't think it'd go so well on the Benchmade, so I am still worried about trying it. 0 -

The turkey will never know the difference. No worries!
