    Congratulations!!!
What a sweet baby of a knife...
Although I'd still like this design to include a flipper, I'm actually really glad this 761 doesn't. Flippers are cool and all, but I like this one as is. Especially the more I use the thing.
    Cheers.

It is a nice knife. I dunno...I just don't like unadorned slabs of blasted Ti. You have the CNC machine all cranked up to do those beautiful bevels, do some surface milling on the flats too. It isn't a tactical folder, throw some herringbone or an inlay on there.

Thanks! I’m very pleased with it so far, it’s one hell of a slicer

I agree, I like this one as is.. I never really got into flippers..

I’m actually very glad they kept it simple with the unadorned Ti. The knife looks and feels very modern that way. Plus, BM added some tastefully subdued detail elsewhere with their machining and barrel spacers/thumb-stud. It would of been way too sebbish, if they went the inlay route.

Some pics highlighting the discreet detail, keeping it very classy BM

    Gorgeous blade right there PM!!!
Just a few minutes ago I opened up a little flat box with an absolutely immaculate 760 inside of it!! What a bad a$$ blade this one is!! I love the color of the Ti.....much darker than the norm.
Next up has to be a 761!!

I’ve kept my LFTi in the safe for years and just pulled it out for comparison pics recently... I wish I had at least one more in plain edge, great knife from LUM
    Smiler
That was my first M4 blade, I would feel horrible beatin’ on the thing now, only having one.. That’s the thing about DQ’ed knives

In regard to the 761, I think you’ll like her as well.. It carries very well (slim, lightweight), while being in the large folder range (huge plus). All the materials used are exceptional, right down to the washers and barrel spacers.

I’m going to pick-up at least one more next year (I’ve confirmed they’ll still be in production

I know what you mean bro....how many more times will we be able to find another in great shap?? Not beating on this one!! No way! It's PE, stupid sharp with factory edge.....and literally not a mark on it!! Scared to even carry it......but I will!!
The blue highlights inside the holes are just too freakin classy!!
    What a cool knife!
Is there any noticeable difference in the actions PM?? This one couldn't be any smoother! Lock up is ridiculous tight and that big a$$ blade flies out! Love the stud also.....thumb only needs to be in contact with the top of it to deploy. Too cool!!

When BM first introduced this knife, some people stated that the detent was light or even nonexistent. I have no idea if this was wide spread across the board, or an issue with a few bad apples from the earlier runs.. I have no experience in the matter myself, I read about it from other boards.

With that being said, I will honestly tell you that the detent on mine is strong and BKC has obviously fixed the issue since then (if there even was an issue). I tested three, fresh from the factory, and none opened (or failed to stay closed). I conducted numerous flinging actions at different angles, and the blade remained closed. I would actually say that on my 761, you have to apply more force/weight on the thumb stud than most of my axis BM’s. So the blade is actually more secure in the closed position than most of my other BM’s.

Until you actually get a feel for how smooth the thrust-bearing washers make the deployment, you won’t fully comprehend how different it feels compared to every other BM. Honestly, I try not to be overly aggressive in flinging it open so it doesn't slam home. I love the action and I hope BM uses those washers on future models to come. They make a huge difference to me.

Just got the 760 today. There is NO detent at all. I'll call Micah tomorrow and see there is anything BM can do.

My 760 LFTi is the same way. Honestly speaking though, I think people make way to big of a deal about it.. I would of never known, or cared about the detent, if I hadn’t read about it here or on BF..

I did carry it for a little while when I first got it and it never opened inside my pocket, so I dunno
    Confused
Don’t let it bother you, it’s an excellent knife!

Ya know....if I didnt read anything about it I never would've given it a second thought!
    You're right.....I'll leave it alone.
What a super cool knife and I am loving it!
    Thanks for the help PM!

    Right!? lol

The 630/635 models also have weak detents, but I can’t remember anyone making a stink over those...

As smooth as the 760 is, I can't even imagine how smooth the 761 is......ordering that bad boy very soon!!
The blade shape on the 61 is just gorgeous!! The tanto on the 60 is the ONLY tanto I have ever liked. Not crazy about most of them, but this one is insane cool!
Now, because of my friend PM I NEEEEED a 761!!!
    Thanks dude!

Larger, heavier blades like the 610, 630, & 810, are naturally prone to very smooth deployment due to the steel’s weight...

The 761’s blade weighs less and is smaller in both length & width (compared to the 610, 630, & 810) -- but deployment is noticeably smoother and faster.

Enough so, that you're seeing the blade open, but you aren’t actually feeling it open (if that makes any sense). Especially when you add one/two drops off blue lube to the TBW’s..

I agree, in regard to the 760’s tanto blade.. It’s the only BM tanto design I own (lots of beautiful blade angles and very, very strong).

You should definitely jump on a ’61, I think you will be impressed. I was skeptical at first, but very pleased that I tried one out for myself.

I just got one of these beauties, and I must say, I am impressed with the workmanship. Very sleek and pretty. I've never had a knife with bearings and it's a very different feel when the blade just spins out as it does.

So far, my only complaint is the pocket clip. I hate it. Hate. I'm searching for a replacement (actually I've ordered something from eBay that I hope will work). I hope it does, because I know myself, and if I can't find a suitable carry option, I won't use the knife, and it will disappear....

Out of my entire BM collection, none of the actions beat the smoothness of my 761. I wish BKC used the TBW’s on all new future models...

There is certainly a break-in period in regard to the clip, but it does lose it’s rigidity over time.

I remember the first week, the clip was so secure/tight, that it would catch the seem of my pocket upon removal.. It doesn’t catch as bad anymore, and I have no doubt that it will only get better with more usage..

It grows on you, I actually appreciate the fact that the clip is so secure, especially when wearing thin dress pants..

I just received my first 761 (thanks B-Man308!) and I really like it a lot. Great size, well-centered, sharp, and very beautiful. This lock is a totally different animal than other frame locks I've had so my first thought was "how is that thing going to hold up." My second thought was to have faith in Benchmade's engineering. It is truly impressive overall and I'm looking forward to carrying for a long time.

Once the mods on mine are done, it'll be right up there with my Subrosa in heavy EDC rotation.

I don't know why I held off so long to get one. I guess I had other stuff on my mind. I played with one at Blade, right after they came out, and it impressed me the most. I reckon I just forgot about it after that.

(I remember I also liked the arcane a lot, too. And the Precinct, believe it or not).
