Chris King Precision Components Visits Benchmade Factory
Portland-based Chris King Precision Components manufacturers the world’s finest bike components right here in Portland. You could call them “The Benchmade of Bicycle Components.” They recently toured our factory, and wrote a great article about what they learned. Check it out here…

Nice! As an avid mountain biker, I can appreciate all the fine components that go into their bikes. Great photos of the BM factory too!" 0 -
Nice piece. BM should visit Chris King.
I am a long time biker and love Chris King components. They like BM are not satisfied to just produce a good quality product, it must be beautiful and stand above all others in every aspect.0 -
My Chris King headset has lasted me 12 years in 5 different bikes. Definetly the best bearings availiable for MTB/BMX.
I'm thinking a collaboration is in order. Benchmade knife with sealed Chris King bearings in the pivot? Maybe in a AFCK or Ruckus?0 -
Very Cool. I have used Chris King components on my mountain bikes for several years and there attention to detail and level of quality is second to none. 0 -
I have question, where am I supposed to wear my Benchmade on my new Chris King 40th/ Team Dream Bicycling Team jersey? in the matching socks?
Seriously, both you guys, Benchmade and Chris King, rock! Happy to support US manufacturing. Now if I could just convince my wife about buying a Cielo bike.0 -
We hear so much about the decline of American manufacturing. I always love to hear about innovative companies who are successfully building highest quality products here, many of which are also known for their world class customer service. These are products that make you feel good when you use them, unlike something that was mass produced on a gigantic assembly line staffed by low paid workers or robots. 0 -
Great article and awesome pics! Thanks for sharing
One of the main reasons I was drawn to BM knives (over 15 years ago), was the fact that they are high quality, US manufactured products.
I'm glad this is still true today.
