880 Pre Production Run query
I have a chance to buy Elishewitz 880 "Pre Production Run" 0460/1000. Does anybody know if there were any significant differences to full production run knives?

I cannot think of a case in the last twenty years when there was any significant difference between pre production and first production.
It does seem puzzling to me that a pre-production blade be marked ####/1000. One thousand pre-production knives?0 -

This is the ebay advert:

To the humble extent of my knowledge it seems a legit knife. ...and Benchmade do have a penchant for putting out numbered 'limited' series.
Thanks for the historical insight Po, that helps.
