Gold class knife Idea
Here's what I've been thinking about. A gold class 15080.. Ok hear me out.. Let's start with parkerised ss frame. Let's use the beautiful scales of the legendary 15080-1601. You know, the checkered stabilized wood. Let's have the same shaped back spacer but how about make it brass. Just think of how cool it would be to look through the lanyard hole then eh..ok now the bolster should be brass as well but with scroll work like the -1601 and around the black parkerised pivot hardware the pivot collar should be stabilized wood. I think it's very important athsteticaly to have the axis bar parkerised as well as all hardware. Ok now the blade should be m390 or damasteel in that same clip point design size and shape and grind. The thumb studs should be brass studs with stabilized wood inlay like in the 482. And to finish off a black parkerised split arrow pocket clip.. I guess this doesn't have to be a good class knife maybe this could be the next forum knife or just an LE. Jason is this possible ? What does everybody think?

I love my Benchmades but for one I am feeling damasteel is old news, too many Benchmades have it now. In my industry (manufacturing), we use the same lasers,CNC,Finishing techniques, even anodize in the same location the infidels are done(Don't Ask I'm not giving out trade secrets). We are always on the cutting edge of design and materials being used and blended. BM is a production company and I understand that but 20 gold class knives all with Damascus is really getting old. Time for mirror polish with satin coarse sanded flats or BC1 !BRING back a boron coating run and tastefully use materials around that( Not Carbon )!! old news. Get a industrial look without going full frilly flamboyant. A hammered metal bolster or something
Send me a PM Jason or Mike I am not far away from the factory and I can help you boys out of this damasteel slump,ha!0 -
Yeah I agree no damasteel would be fine. I was just thinking that it's a traditional style knife , 15080 and I was trying to keep it as traditional as possible ok how bout a mirror polish like you suggesti think that would look great with s vertical 600 grit finish on the flats kinda like what's on the 15080 now but gotta use m390 or m4 and let it patina? 0 -
BKC should start making knifes from the steel recycled from confiscated/destroyed guns. It would go over sooo well.
