Griptillian Test Video
Hey guys! I wathced this awesome video on the Grip the other day and thought I would share. It really surprised me. The grip is much more durable than I was personally expecting for a knife without full liners and such. It's a fairly realistic scenario I think, seeing as in the Smokies people go into the mountains all the time with mothing more than a pocket knife. Good to know the lightweight Grip has your back![FLASH_VIDEO] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKol-A0fX7E [/FLASH_VIDEO]

Yeah, I've seen that video before
I feel sorry for that poor knife with what they put it through, definately moved beyond the hard use category IMHO.
That said, I really have to hand it to the grip for standing up to such 'use' as well as it did.0 -

+1 IMHO batoning a folder is abuse. Could be done in a survival situation but don't expect to do it in day to day use. That's what fixed blades are for.0 -

For the most part, I agree, but there is a way to baton with a folder that won't put stress on the lock. For the most part, though, branches and whatnot to baton are usually thicker than a folder blade.0 -
I agree too. That's why I never go into the woods witout a fixed blade. This test was good for showing what the Grip is capable of in case it had to be used like that though. Tough little blade! 0 -
I thought it was a neat video from a newbie point of view, if nothing else it demonstrated the difference good steel makes and how much better it holds an edge. Also I thought it was a good demonstration of the axis lock and how sturdy it is. 0 -
Just watched the Griptillian test video and the little knife did very well for itself. The testing seemed to work the blades edge a little as well as the locking mechanism.

Makes me take a second look ........
The Video seems to be a very honest review , which I like.
Now ...... wheres my M-4 551 ........LOL0 -
I was looking to order the M4 steel version from GP knives but they are all out of stock.

Well this is a promotional video for Blade HQ, so they do need to make it a little dramatically..LOL
But some people do put pocket knives though way too much, when they should have just taken a Fixed Bade with them..
