Sharper than any other knife I’ve received from BKC. Whoever sharpened the convexed edge is a maestro.

The detail on this knife is amazing. It has both my favorite handle material (Ti) and my favorite steel (M390) - all on one of the best, day-to-day EDC platforms there is (531).

    Amazing job Benchmade!

    Congratulation PM!
I must say this model does fit you quite well.
    To a "T" I dare say.
You are quite obviously a connoisseur of fine knives.
As a fellow knife nut, I get joy from your discovery of the perfect knife.
Enjoy it my friend you deserve it.......and , well it is pretty freakin' sweet.

Gotta admire someone who will pay secondary market prices for a Gold Class...hoh...

    Now that is love...
    Wink

Agree on the edge. Whoever sharpened the -132s did a great job, finer angle than anything else I've seen other than a Stanley razor knife. Crazy sharp.

Thanks guys, I’m very pleased with it

With all of the recent 2016 model releases, I don’t think BKC will be giving much attention to the 531 platform.. Especially with Gold Class variations or M390. I had to bite!

Here’s some more close-up shots of the stonewash detail:

PM glad you found your perfect, it a beautiful looking piece.
Does this mean your done buying knives & posting here
    Big Grin

I know the feeling when I got my first 940D2CF, I immediately purchased several more, so I'd enjoy carrying without fear of losing my favorite knife.
I didn't stop there (believe you won't either) now buying DOAT's handles likely will keep collecting various colors G-10 & CF.

Wish Benchmade would add the 53x to the custom build line up.
    Enjoy your prize! Bill

Thank you! I know we're not supposed to get this attached to inanimate objects, but I am. Hands down, my favorite BM produced thus far. It would take an even cooler 531 Gold Class to kick this one out of my pocket.. Not sure how you can top this one though..

Unfortunately for you guys, the annoying pic guy is here to stay

The last time I left, I missed out on all the Gold Class 53X’s... It was on my wish list even back then (Post № 5), check the time stamp.

I don’t think I’ll look for any more, I have never used eBay or bought second hand. I’m too untrusting/skeptical of the product being truly unused..

I was lucky to find this one (NIB) still stocked in a small brick & mortar knife shop. It still had the factory oil smell (yes, I’ve smelled a new knife lol) and you could certainly tell it was new/stocked away

I would have liked to purchase the 531-131 just for collection sake, but, in all honesty, I much prefer the look of the -132.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you PM.....but enjoy that sweet blade!!

PM are those thumb different than on standard 53Xs? ( the standard thumb studs on the 53Xs are painful in comparison to thumb on other Benchmades)

I believe they are the same size as the standard black/coated thumb-stud used on regular production 531’s. The only difference being the actual coating itself. The 531-132’s studs appear to be uncoated stainless steel.

As for usage in general, I honestly have never felt any pain when opening/applying pressure on any of my 53X studs
    Confused
A light detent paired with a lightweight blade make for easy opening IMO, regardless of stud size. Plus, if BKC used a larger thumb stud, it would most likely be less aesthetically pleasing to the eye, especially on the thinner blade.
