Benchmade strap cutter question.
Picked up a strap cutter at a surplus story while traveling. Was looking to add one to my EDC bag and the price was right. Have a question, the patch on the sheath is on the back not front flap. I see a couple online that way but most have the patch on the outer flap. Is this legit (patch on back of sheath)? NSN number 4240-01-543-9618.

What model? And do you have pics? 0 -
It is a 7 Hook. I attached it to a pack but here it is.

He Benchmade patch is on the back not front.

Looking around I wonder if it was an issued item and the Benchmade tag needed to be on the inside. See a few online that way. 0 -
We've done some sheaths over the years that have the tags inside for branding, but nothing on the outside because it's potentially reflective. 0 -
It is actually on the back of mine, not inside but I guess same applies. I see some online that it is on the front. Is that just as copy then? 0 -
Sorry, I should have clarified. Not inside the sheath itself, but between the sheath and your vest. Not on the exposed portion of the sheath when mounted, but still on the outside of the sheath. Like what you're describing. 0 -
Thanks for your response. Looks legit then. 0 -
Yeah it definitely is. You're golden. 0 -
They had it for $14.99 which is not insane but much lower than I have seen so I had a bit of a question but the cutter itself look right. But you never know th de days. 0 -
Yeah, it's true.. counterfeits are getting scarily good for some stuff. 0 -
