Anyone know what this is for on the Ritter Grip??
Hey everyone I noticed these on the tang of my Ritter Grip when installing some scales for it. I've never seen them on another BM blade. Does anyone know or have a guess? I couldn't think of any reason they would be there.

If you are referring. To the holes it designates what steel it is 0 -
Oic before they laser engrave the blade they wouldn't know what they are working with. Thank you sir.
But the Ritter grip only comes in one kind of steel so it would be hard to mix it up with anything else.0 -

I’ve seen holes on other models as well, just don’t have the pics.0 -

I'm guessing they just started production on the M390 model before all of the S30V blanks were out and sold.0 -

I am also guessing that Both RSK and 550~553 blade blanks share the same blanks? I'm sure it would be proprietary information of which cuts will be made first, but looking at those blades the blanks may look so much alike?0 -
I remember a thread on BF where a guy was doing a blade swap with manix2 LW and putting the s110v blade in the g10 manix body. There was an extra notch cut in the s110 blade that wasn't in the s30 blade that served no functional purpose. Seems like the same kinda thing. Gotta keep all those piles of blanks straight somehow. 0 -

Nah. All blade blanks are different from family to family. There are a few exceptions, but not many.0
