Just received the Fact!
I bought this on a whim when I saw one available elsewhere at a very fair price. From the start, when this knife was announced, I felt it wasn’t for me. Didn’t particularly care for the look, the size, the bladeshape, blah, blah, blah....
Well it’s here.
OMG. I love this thing. It feels fantastic in the hand. It looks awesome in person.
I’m sure I’ll develop more articulate words about it as I get to use it a bit, but for now, it’s just OMG!!!

Of all the new 2018 Benchmade releases, the 417BK was the one that spoke to me the most, and the one I had decided to buy first. As luck would have it, it’s pretty much become what is now the last Benchmade which I’m crossing off my current list.

Just received the Bugout, as well. I had the blue one when they first came out, but hated the look, and never gave it a chance. The 535GRY-1 fixes those problems! Now I can’t get my Fact or Bugout out of my pocket! My more expensive knives are starting to talk...... 0 -
Yup, the same for me. I've carried either a Bugout or the Fact exclusively for a while. I felt bad, so I carried an Ares today. 0 -
I purchased a 417 as well, and am extremely happy with it too. I really like knives with straight handles and very little blade drop, and the Fact fills the bill. If there would be anything I would change, it would be a less dagger-esque style of blade with a bit more belly and a high flat grind. Someday maybe. I recently picked up the new 390 SOCP, what a knife that is. But again, to be my perfect knife, I would keep the blade the same, but give it a high flat grind, and put an Axis lock on it, leaving the handle, length, ergos, the same. This knife is too good to only have one variant of it. That’s just my opinion.
