New BM Knife Design.
Hello!
It's my first post so I want to introduce myself. My name is Ostap Hel and I'm a knife designer from Poland (so now You know why my English isn't
good).
I have one question. Is Benchmade searching new knife designs or ideas? I've created an axis folder design especially for Benchmade but dont know where is the right topic to show it... So I try here. Or should I first contact to someone from company who would be interested on it?
If it's wrong place for this topic I'm really sorry, could You replace it to right one?

Dzień dobry, Ostap
First, welcome to the forum!
Second, I would think that that the best way to contact somebody from correct department would be via this page: http://www.benchmade.com/company/contact_us.aspx
I truly hope your design makes it to production, but (just a friendly advice) don't get your hopes too high, I'm almost certain that BM is more than set on new designs to fill new catalogs for another decade.
Best of luck!0 -
I'll take a prototype if you wanna send one though!
Haha good luck with your proposal!0 -

By the way, feel free to post some pictures of your work in This Thread in the open chit-chat forum.
I am sure I am not the only one that would enjoy seeing what you have in workshop.

I've contacted with BM but they refused the desing. So I could show here one of pictures which I've sent to them:
What do You think? Are You interested on my other works? Should I add it on chit chat forum?0 -
Nice rendering. BM will probably stay with all of their in house designers but Id like to see any of your designs..very professional. Have any drop point designs? 0 -
I'd be interested to see more.
First thought when I saw this pic: This is what Hinderer's XM would look like if it had an AXIS. Saying that as a good thing

It is my first design for BM dont have speciall drop point designs but could show You other part of Axis - blade shapes:

I am curious Ostap, do you also make knives, or are you focused strictly on design? 0 -
For about 2 years I was focused strictly on design, but now I'm started cooperate with knifemakers whos doing my designs and when have some time for myself I'm training in my workshop with real steel

I think that's a great design - I especially like the third one with the full flat grind. I'd love one with a 4 inch or longer blade. 0 -
It has 3,9" / 100 mm in this version Probably I would do it but without typical axis. Maybe some similar lock?
I've update my designs in Chit Chat topic if someone is interested

Very nice designs. I especially like your flat grind designs. They look great and should be good slicers. I'd love to see something like your design in M390 steel or M4. 0 -
Very nice designs.

I would definitely buy one of those designs if produced! 0 -

Benchmade like any company is always looking for talented Designers to work with, they do have an "International Sales Coordinator" she might be a good start of contact..
I believe that she is bilingual, but I am not sure if she speaks Polish however your English is better than my Polish..ROLMAO0 -
I would buy one in a freakin hearbeat. 0
