So pumped for this "story" !! I've always wanted a crooked River, but the 4" blade was nothing I'd carry, almost bought one to chop but glad I was patient.. thanks Benchmade!

    Hey Everyone,

A mini version of this knife is not out of the realm of possibilities... As of right now we do not have a 2017 launch currently planned for this but please keep your eyes open!

I, for one, would love to have a 3-1/4" version of the Crooked River.

The current offerings are damn near perfection! Of course I'm a large folder kinda dude.. the 4" blade is a lot of why I love 15080.. with that said, if a mini released at some point I'd buy two!

I'm sure it would be great, but I'd be more excited about an XL Crooked River, say over 4.5".

I hope/expect a -1701, or -171. With all the praise we've lumped upon The One Knife the last two years. Ti-mascus or ti mokume bolsters, abalone or something rare... Or some brass bolsters, with some colored wood, or bone or antler. This knife is pretty limitless.

I would buy this at least twice; one for myself and one for my wife. Would likely even buy one as a gift for a friend.

My second favorite knife from Benchmade (behind my Bushcrafter) and would love an urban-friendly EDC version of this beast.

All sound good to me but, I can't get his 928 out of my pocket.

Same. Loving it. The 928 has been my go-to hard user since I got it, kicking out my 810's most days (sacrilege). But the Proxy actual makes a great EDC, and goes above and beyond hard use with it's forward finger choil. You can really do some fine precision cutting with the 928. Great knife. Should have picked it up sooner. It's a bit of a sleeper, I feel, due to the absence of the AXIS lock. Take it from me though, the Proxy is a heck of a fantastic design.

I wouldn't mind a mini Crooked River, but I'd probably only buy an LE or Gold, to spice things up. That needs to happen.

Although, I'd prefer an upgrade on the full size 15080. Let's see THAT. But I know the LE's and especially Golds usually seem to be reserved for the minis. That's why I said that...

Not to derail this thread, but i keep going to the site or a store intending to buy the proxy, but last minute I just can't do it. I think its the combination of the forward finger choil and sharpening choil that just makes it look like there's not enough edge there, or is that just me?

I guess I'll just wait for another flipper from Benchmade, maybe they'll make one with a clip point next.
