So what does this say about all of the Classic Benchmade knives that we have Hoarded All these Years? Like the $1,500.00 690 I happen to Own, or all of the Ares or 690's ? Not to mention any and all Gold Class knives we may happen to have?

Should we put them on the Auction Block and get rid of them as fast as we can & Hope to get a Tiny Fraction of our investment back before they are no longer known about?

How about a trade in system? I'll gladly trade a NIB 690BLC for a Limited Edition 300 Flipper.

You'd be getting a really Great Trade!

I'll trade you my 615 with the Linen Mecarta inserts, Silver Twill Inserts & the other set of inserts that I've forgotten the name of, for a Gold Class with Chad Nichols Damascus & Ti-mascus Bolsters, and it has to look Good too.

Actually I Gave up Facebook for The thing called Life, it Goes by way to quickly & Social Media can take up Way too much of Life!!!

I'm an Analog Man living in a Digital World. Haven't even been on Facebook to check this out?
So if I'm way out of line, forgive my Anolog-ness! I have to go type a Letter to Corporate, and I hope I've got plenty of Carbon paper & Ribbon Left.

On a Serious Note; if Benchmade developed 3 Different sized Flippers that we could attach to ANY of our out of Production knives, we could sell them all like Hot Cakes.
    Cool
that's what all the younger collectors are wanting now!!!

You make a valid point, collector value on exists if there is interest in the knife. It is not like gold or other investments... Case in point, Gerber. At one time they made the best of the knife world. Now they are associated with cheap big box junk. In time the association with cheaper goods eats away the value of the high end stuff.

It also shows that we forum folks are not the ones who buy most of the knives. Why do they do this or that? Because most of the folks out there are not us.

Sounds like a very worthy winner! I remember from a video of Les that he got his start by making Balisongs for his friends.
