Something like a simple lock back with polymer scales and a 1.75" 440C blade for $20-25 would be perfect. I don't expect it to happen though.

The smallest knife Benchmade offers is the Megumi and other than that I guess it's the 707. I'd love to see something about the size of the SOG Flash II for $50-75.

If you can find a BM 770 or 771 , it would make a great keychain knife.

The 770 is indeed a great little knife.

There is one smalllll problem with it in this aspect though, no lanyard hole or way to attach it to a key ring.

I have and occasionally carry a 770 depending on what I'm wearing and/or where I"m going. I'd be tough pressed to consider it a key chain knife unless you're one of those people that has 18 different key fobs daisy chained together and hangs halfway to the floor.

I'd think the 330 would be a better choice if you really wanted to put one on your key chain, but even that is a bit big for my taste to have in such a place. It's thinner than the 770, or any other Benchmade that I can think of, and probably is the lightest knife they've ever made. The KOTM from January would be the ideal one of the line to try it with.

I was going to say something like that for twenty bucks with 420HC steel but last time I asked for something similar I got hate mail.

770 is a really good knife but bigger than I was thinking of. More to rival the Ladybug or AG's keychain knife but with Benchmade quality & ambidextrous. Regards to all Bill

I like this knife... But I would prefer to carry AXIS knife. What would be the smallest size it can be "useful" though?

There's nothing wrong with the quality of the Ladybug or AG's little knives, especially at their price points. A mini-Axis is going to be a lot more $.

I don't know the answer to how small you can shrink the Axis lock and still have it work reasonably easily. I had a CRK Umfaan and sold it because it was just too small to deal with.

Now that all of the competitor is out, I can name the one I like the concept of. Spydie's DF2/ Cat is very nice small blade. I wish BKC makes one like DF2/ Cat. That 50% choil can really choke and almost like having a talon in your hand, yet secure enough to hold onto.
