Well, I wanted to celebrate Texas new law and add an auto to my collection. As my favorite carry knife for many years has been my Mini Grip the choice of the 5500 was an easy one. This knife with it's axis construction is an excellent example with the perfect blade centering and smooth operation/lockup you get with a Benchmade knife. I couldn't be more pleased with my new Presidio. Regards

One of the best knife designs I've ever experienced, and in auto function...it just don't get any cooler than that.

Great knife, and welcome.

I generally favor the 520 but from time to time I carry a 525 instead. Love the ergos on those.

Welcome. I am a little late on this post but very much agree about the 5500. I have the 5500-81( carbon fiber/Damascus version)and it just feels great in hand. Just sent back to BM my 7505-131(dual action auto) for a little work and if you want a stout knife look no further.
