Lol...I went through this myself. Thought I was going a little nuts. Small socket or wrench. Outside diameter of stud. Not Torx in center. Cant remember what size. Someone should be along to confirm size. Careful, proper size wrench, easy to mush if not excact size .

    Thanks for the welcome guys.
Excuse my language, I am not a native speaker, I'm from Germany.

If I understood correctly, it is removable via wrench but I should be careful doing it?

    Thanks!

Patrick, I'd say the perfect size is 3/16"...but I've also taken them off with a 5mm as long as I'm careful because although it works it is a little too large for a perfect fit.

T6 torx works. Usually if you use one, you can unscrew it, but sometimes it takes one on each side.

I must have different models than you. Mine don't have any holes to accept a torx driver. Take a look at your Forum Knife...I don't think it has torx holes in the thumb studs.

Maybe he was talking about inverse torx?

Hum..I haven't come across those before. He did mention the T6 size though, which is what we use to remove Benchmade thumbstuds that have the regular Torx holes.

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, it is close to an E7 but a 3/16" worked on one side of my forum knife. But it did not fit on the other side because it has a groove halfway around like they use pliers at Benchmade?
