HK 14715
Rumor has it the the HK 14715 will now be a Bechmade model with the discontinuation of the HK line. Is this True? Will the 14715 live on with a Butterfly on the blade? Will it still be D2 steel? Please keep the handle shape.

It doesn't seem to be the case. The only HK knives that made the move are all autos. It wouldn't end up being the same value that it is now, even if it did. The Turmoil OTF is now the 4600 Phaeton, and the price increase for the end consumer is about $100 after the switch to s30v and some cosmetic changes to the handle. 0 -
Too bad, I read where a dealer had ordered some. It would be a great move by BM to sell it under he BM name. Benchmade needs an affordable folder with G10 scales to compete with some of the Spyderco offerings. 0 -

I think that's what the 560 is supposed to do, but with grivory and versaflex.0 -

exactly. most cops wont spend the extra hundred bucks because they know if they use their knives for self defense they will become evidence.0 -

/|\ Grivory is groovy but Versaflex sounds like a material yoga pants would be made from.0 -

Haaahahahaha!
I imagine the new handles are kinda like when the Griptilian first came out. Nobody liked those cheap sounding Grivory handles, but you can't break 'em, and a lot of people bought 'em. We will probably find out these new handles are very high performance as well. But they absolutely do have a Yoga mat taint...
Versaflex is prolly made out of recycled Subway sandwich buns...
...back to the 14715, it's a great point that there isn't an equivalent model in the line any more, low cost, premium materials, mean and ugly as a junkyard dog.0 -
To me 14715 was a hit in HK line. It seems to have strong resemblance to Stryker series. Am I the only one having this impression? 0 -
