mini-Loco 818
I was just at another website and saw a company selling the Benchmade Mini Loco, model number 818. It has a 3.38 inch blade.
I haven't been around the forum a lot lately. Have I missed discussion about this?

+1
For a mini, it appears to still be a stout little tank of an EDC.
Love the 808, but this looks promising.0 -
I will have one same day they release hand delivered to the shop to start scales on, they should be ready to use 2 days later 0 -
Interesting...
That seems to be saying the Loco is selling well, looking like a long term player. That's good!
I'll have to try one, of course. The Loco is just too fascinating not to at least try one. For me, some of the Minis work, and some don't. The 705 and 707 were very successful. The Mini AFCK was great, the Mini Presidio is fantastic, the Mini Grip, not so much, though I know lots of people do like them.0 -

Looks very nice. I would definitely need to hold it in person.0 -
Surprisingly this mini-loco feels better than any folder with same length blade. (3.38") 0 -
As they say in the South “Bless your hearts”
Seriously, this knife is too thick (it prints) & too heavy (try keeping your socks up with this rock clipped to them.
If you need a robust knife & live in a district where the max blade limit is 3.5” or less then this knife is worthy of being in discussion mix.
Really to each his own but if I’m carrying a knife that weighs this much & no legal restrictions I want more blade length.
Darn! Nearly got through this post (but just can’t hold back) for same weight I can carry two
940-1 ( don’t print much & socks stay up if clipped inside). Just too bad it is disqualified from comparison as best knife with a 3,38” blade as it’s blade is 3.40”.

Yeah, around I live, there is a city that has strict 3.5" limit. I think 818 is one of the thicker blade that is less than 3.5.
Of cause when I need to have dress blade, 940-1 is always with me.
