Custom Grip and Mini Grip

This will be my first post on this forum. I got into knives about this time last year and have slowly been learning and accumulating a small collection. I just received two custom BM knives, a Griptilian and Mini Griptilian, which I created on the BM site. Just thought I would show off how well they were put together. There have been stories on this forum of some lemons coming from the customizer, so I was wary, but these turned out perfectly. I'm sure some of you will not agree with the taste, but I love these things. They came ultra sharp (sharper than my much more expensive 940-1)! One for me, one for my girl.
Brief Review:
I have never seen or held a Griptilian before. I have seen pictures and YouTube videos, and wanted one for a long time. I finally took the plunge when I discovered the custom knife maker on the BM site. I had never bought this widely respected knife because I was concerned about the handle material. Many people describe it as "cheap" feeling. I will say, it does not at all feel cheap in the hand. The plastic handles have the exact kind of grippy feeling you would hope to have. The Noryl GTX is thick, dense, and has a unique feeling to it. It is NOT slippery, chintzy, or cheap feeling. Excellent traction throughout. "Grip"tilian is the perfect name for this blade. The Mini grip opens perfectly out of the box. The full size grip will need some breaking in before it's as smooth as I want it. Cutting performance is incredible. Sharpest factory edge in my entire (albeit small) collection. Laser etching was done to my exact specifications without flaw. These knives will likely only ever see light EDC duty, and will function primarily as a conversation piece. But I am really happy with the speed, the precision, and the timeliness of this service. In short, I would highly recommend this customization service to anyone who is on the fence. Even though the site says it might take 3-4 weeks for delivery, they were delivered to my place in 9 days!!

Welcome to the forum Frunkey, glad you found the place and shared your knives.
Good to hear that you are pleased, but I am slightly surprised by your comment about 'lemons'. I have heard nothing but good stuff about their 'custom' knives, lots about the customize page but nothing bad about the knives themselves.
Regardless, I am happy to hear that you are pleased with the knives and the service.
Word of caution though, once you start it can be very difficult to stop. Once you browse around a look to see what's out there, KAD tends to kick in and you end up with a collection bigger than you ever intended...

...and four or five Griptilians (lost count)
All have been perfect. In fact I think the edges I've gotten have been a little better than standard production models.0 -
