I like this thread and the bone collector knives. I cannot contribute. My bone collector with walnut handle is on its way back from BM. had minor issue that needed to get taken care of.

    Keyman,

By your last picture, it looks like the scales and/or liner is misaligned. Did the knife come that way or did you mess with it?

Not knocking the nice D2 blades; The best thing Benchmade ever did for the Presidio line was create the G-10 scales for the 15020/15030 models that so beautifully replace the T6 stock scales.
    Cool

No, it didn't come that way. The culprit is the scales and back spacer that were created by me.

I didn't get that quite flush, now did I? I hurried the process along; so that I could get a pic while I still had light. Unfortunately, I hadn't yet worked all the bugs out.

I do get a little too excited sometimes and get ahead of myself. Back to the sandpaper!

Ha! that's what happens to me. My scales are looking decent and then when it gets time to do the real detail work I slop it up and ruin the whole thing. then I swear off making any scales for awhile...

Actually, I all ways put my scales and knives back together before I am truly done. It allows me the opportunity to feel the knife in hand. It also allows me to see and work all the bugs out. So, I fine tuned the Golden Dragon and the BC yesterday. I also hit them with the 1200 & 2000 grit sand paper before polishing them up. Anyway BC fixed and changed to black screws:

Looks good, Keyman. I like the black screws better.

    Thank you something.
I think the black screws look much better.

Black screws look nice. What I really like about that knife though is that spacer. Nice work on that thing

Just picked up the walnut-handled model and have a green G10 model on the way (both mini's). It has the combination of features and materials I've been waiting for Benchmade to make for years. Well done BM!
