Forum board data migration notice
-Social Strata-
As a part of our ongoing efforts to provide superior stability and stellar service we will be performing a data center migration during the last two weeks of August. This move gives us the opportunity to orchestrate an upgrade to our entire infrastructure which will then give you an even higher level of dependability and performance.
While we do anticipate some downtime for each of our customers during the migration, we will do our utmost to minimize it.
We will contact you again soon with the final date so that you may plan ahead as necessary, and inform your community in advance. We will also contact you individually if you need to take any action such as DNS changes.
We will do everything we can to make this as easy and smooth a transition as possible.

Any plans on updating the forum software while you're at it? The software on here is rudimentary at best compared to most forums I'm on. 0 -
Thanks for the info Jason. Hope the migration doesn't turn us all into first post newbies.

There aren't any plans that I know of, and I'm not sure how secure that would be. Do you have examples?quote:

Social Strata says it's due to server changes and that they should push through eventually, but I'm still working with them to see why it's still an issue. Thanks for yours and Trailboss's patience...0 -

Just about any site, honestly. These specifically:
ar15.com
xdtalk.com
katriders.com
USN
bowfreakz.com
Some important things to have:- multi-quote
- ability to preview a post before posting it (for example, I mistyped the link for the USN link but didn't see it until after it was posted because I could not preview what I had typed)
- subscribing and ability to go to your last post in a thread to continue reading from that point, not just going to the thread that is active since your last post.

any plans for a more mobile friendly forum experience?
Case an point my reply window does not "fit to screen" so when i am typing in the reply window. i can not see where i am typing. makinging it more difficult to see where i am on the screen. and it floats instead of staying stationary makining it easier to edit my post?0 -

Yes please, this one item I would find most beneficial.0 - subscribing and ability to go to your last post in a thread to continue reading from that point, not just going to the thread that is active since your last post.

May I make a suggestion, that we have the ability to easily upload our picture directly from our computers.
Without having to use a 3rd Party system like Photo Bucket, it appears to me that some people are having issues with it especially on WTS.0
