Ritter Mini Grip Logo
I've seen some Doug Ritter Mini Grips that have the "Doug Ritter" is marked lower on the blade.
Is there a reason for this? Are they from a newer run if the logo is lower?
And lastly are the lower logo marked knives fakes?
Thanks for any help.

If you're referring to the M4 ritter runs. On older run, the logo was higher. On newer run, the logo was lower. Neither are fake. I am not aware of the reason for the change. They also changed the CPM-M4 marking, for no apparent reason. Benchmade has been known to change logos from time to time though.
I assume they may have done the same with the normal S30v edition.0 -
Ok thanks.
The one I found is all black S30V. I have a set of Black anodized Aluminum Wilkins scales to go on it.
There is an M4 version on that very large auction site, from the one of 73 run, if anyone is interested.0 -
Dang it death--quit teasing us with pics of those sweet custom scales! 0 -
These are the scales I'm waiting to put on an all black Ritter mini Grip.0 -
Nice. Like the contrast! Please get us a pic when it's ready to view. 0 -
Bad iPhone pic but it's all I have. 0 -

Same here, have the Ritter, waiting on the grips. Glad to see the photo below. Was wondering how the stonewashed black blade would look on the black ALU.

The orange mini in M4 logo may have been a typo cover up.
Who knows.......

Might be a conspiracy? Who knows. Did anyone actually test the steel? Or did they cover up the word "China"? I will have an elemental analysis to confirm it's M4 and X-ray the logo to see what's underneath it.

This knife also started out with Black scales.... The plot thickens!

Hah! When I first saw it, I thought "that circle's just big enough to cover up a normal S30V mark. Wonder if they got mislabeled at first".0 -
