Thank you sir. I wanted the tanto but not the Aluminum. This works great. 0 -
I like the holey blade.

Whats the model number difference between those two blade shapes? 0 -
Both blades are from the 15020, modded for me by forum member ryxlyx. The two in the bottom pic are the current configurations. 0 -
Oh ok. I like both those sets of scales. Very nice. 0 -
Are those just sanded down BC scales on the bottom? 0 -

I noticed you had a Presidio Ultra scale/handle in one of the pictures. How does the feel of those scales compare with the aluminum Presidio scales?
I just received my 15020-1 from an E-bay'er. Whoever had this knife before me babied it, tuned it, broke it in, and maintained a near perfect edge. I'm in love. I finally found a knife that doesn't leave me with Presidio withdrawal when placed on my belt. Plus, it will match it's little brother 15030-1 I purchased from another BM forum member.
Now, the only problem is that I'm getting a yearning for a wooden scaled version combined with a Presidio 154CM blade to keep this one company.0 -
Nice catch on your new 15020-1 ScottK. quote:Originally posted by ScottK:

I currently have a 520 blade installed in the 522 handle shown in the pic above, The feel of the 522 is about the same at the 520, maybe a bit less aggressive. I like the 522 Grivory scales because they're almost indestructible, they still look good after a lot a abuse. But in general I prefer the aluminum over the Grivory. Also the weight is about 1 oz less than with the aluminum scales.0 -
I love this:
Just might have to follow in your footsteps, Jon.

I'd certainly recommend it. I love the tanto with g10.0 -

Gotten some serious use out of this ole thing, just sent it in to LifeSharp for the first time, I was comparing it to my new 808 Loco in the pics. I asked BM if they would put back the laser etching that’s worn off the blade over the years but not sure that will happen (only gotten a confirmation they’ve received it). But LOVE my bone collector

Nice! The Mini BC was one of my favorite small folders. If you like the ergos, the 575 has a similar feel but with a tad longer blade and thumbstud.

Know anyone that would put the laser etching back on my bone collector?
