This does appear to be a 51-1301.

From the photo at the link, it looks like a 51-1301.

Ok, so it's an exclusive then? Released in France? Any idea where a guy would get one?

So apparently BM does not know or is unwilling to share any info, except to say that it is real, that is kinda disappointing. I don't know whether to be insulted or just confused. Nobody else finds this odd? Or do you just not care?

did any one but us know about the forum knife...
    or the 530 Cruise LE
    i think not.
so what's the big deal. it's an official knife from Benchmade. Fantastic and not a fake. All the more allure of the model.
there are plenty of small batches of knives out there that where never public knowledge.

My guess is that some one with a LOT of money paid up front to have them made.
what difference do the circumstances about it's existence have to do with anything other than, "I exist there for i am..."

And where did we learn about the forum knife? The cruise ship LE? Right here at the mighty BM forum, I thought this was the place to discuss BM knives, I thought wrong (according to you) next time ill ask your permission before inquiring about any knives

    Actually, here’s the story...

Mikey wanted to try his hand at a new etched finish he was considering. He grabbed some 51 blades since they are D2 and would etch well. We liked the finish so much we had him build them into knives giving us the 51-1301.

    Then…

(…we shipped two knives to France by mistake! Oops.)

    ment no offense sir.
after rereading my post.. i can only say it was very late when i wrote it. (the time stamp is for west coast time and i am 2 hours earlier) and i find that i am rather put off by my comment as well. I apologize
You are right that this is a forum to discuss Benchmades.
after Vance's answer.. i had questions much as you did.

i ask now though... would there not be Benchmades we have no knowledge of that are released in other countries by dealers, like KW does here... but, over there, That we may not ever hear about until after they have hit the open market.
for instance we do not have a translation option on this forum... so would there not be a website that is dedicated to other nationalities that would have there own versions of LE knives released. like the Russian TSEK for instance... or did i by chance miss where we where made privy to it prior to it's release?

So, after reading this sure, I am left wondering about somethings myself... i'd ask if two where shipped by mistake how many where made...?
Are they to be released here..., on the forum later this year, or by a dealer as an LE or are there only the two in existence?

I ask forgiveness THEONEANDONLY, for my rudeness earlier and hope you find the answers you seek. sincerely. From One forum member Benchmade fanatic/ Balisong enthusiast to another.
