turnaround
New to the community. I own a couple of Benchmades and recently sent one into Benchmade requesting a blade swap (at my expense). What is the normal turnaround? Not trying to rush them, just missing my knife.

Just expect it to take a couple weeks, usually. That way when they show up sooner, you'll have a pleasant surprise. I have a knife there now, so I understand the feeling. 0 -
Thanks for responding. I did a confirmation on the delivery and they've had it 2 weeks today. 0 -
From my experience it all depends on how many knives they have in at the time yours hits. The first time I sent one in just for sharpening it took a little over 4 weeks. I sent one in a couple of months ago for a blade replacement and got it back in 10 days. If its been 2 weeks they must have a heavy volume in for servicing. They will get it done - maybe you need to buy a new one to bridge the gap?

There's a pending transaction on my credit card today for Benchmade. Can't be long now. I may not have to cross that gap. whew! 0 -
Was going to ask the same thing.
Thats a pretty fast turn around, but I don't know if I can go two weeks without it

Hello everyone, sorry for the delay but I was out at Modern Day Marine in Quantico. This is our busy season as everyone is sending back their knives for service. Our current turn time is about 2 weeks. We are working extra hours to accommodate the demand and hope to get back to a 2-3 day turn time soon. Thank you for understanding. 0 -
Ryan, my knife came home today 3 weeks after you received it. Couldn't be happier with it. You guys did a great job. Thanks. 0 -
When is the best time of year to send in knives? 0 -
I would recommend sending them in any time that you need your knives serviced. We are more than happy to take care of our customers. Historically though the slowest times for us are April and May. 0 -
I would make a suggestion. I'm used to two things; One is quality customer service and great work done any time I send my knives up. Two, is the need for better communication. I would like to have updates when something is in the cue. I know it will get here but an end status with tracking would also be appreciated. I rarely get those. 0 -

I usually allow about 3 to 4 weeks from door to door for when I send something into Benchmade, you really have to allow for the shipping to them and then it has to get into their system. Naturally then there is the time for the knife to get fixed/Sharpened and off course the return shipping, I was AMAZED at how many items they have come in every a day and with the understanding of the whole process that's very quick actually..

3-4 weeks seems to be about right. My 581 arrived at the factory on 9/19, and I received shipping notification last night that it's on it's way back.0
