Just received the NIB LW Blackfoot. It's the 3" version to match it's larger brother, the 3.5" Longhorn. These are awesome knives, perfect in every way, fit and finish are flawless and I'm picky. Here's pics:

I put them here as these are considered BKC products now, my problem is they're hard to put down. Maybe that's a good thing!

  I like this, elegant utility knives, reminds me very much of Mel Pardues work, and that's saying something for me.

  Joe, how does the Longhorn compare to the T2? It looks similar in many ways: Similar size, S30V blade and liner lock.

  T2...I could kick myself for selling the one I owned FJ. D'you know what they're going for now?
  
  Anyway, this Is about the same size, but the diamond grippy G-10 on these two is what any other maker should look for...these lend a great feel and will not slip with wet hands.
  
  The fit and finish of these is par with the T2, all surfaces are rounded, no hot spots anywhere. The handles are comfortably wide, the pivot is accessible under the left scale.
  
  From what I'm seeing with the S30V, it's got an excellent edge and takes a good polish.
  
  Very nice knives worth seeking.

  Yeah it is OA, same knife. Dunno if I understand all the same knives with different name changes LW did over time. This was the 'Dark Raven', then became the 'Blackfoot'.
  
  On the larger 'Longhorn' it was also known as the 'Warrior' and also the 'Laredo'. Go figure, at least they didn't change the excellent build quality on all of these.

  The designs look "simple", yet it's also very thoughtful. Ideal materials, nice long clip... blades are light on company logos and the blade shape is really useful, the edges look wicked.
  
  I don't know anything about the open/close mechanism. It looks like a liner lock, but (just guessing here) instead of the tiny nub of metal to break your fingernail on which liner locks like to provide, you get a 1" tab for the side of your thumb to engage, unlocking the blade. Sounds like a great idea! Does the tab get in the way at all when holding the opened knife?

  Thanks Dig, these are liner lock knives and no the closing tab is softly rounded so doesn't get in the way. That makes it much easier on thumbtips. Pocket clips are long and simple. With the diamond texture on the G-10 scales these knives will not fall out of pockets, yet aren't pocket eaters.
  
  The larger 'Longhorn' is very comparable (I should take pics) to the Rift with the reverse tanto blade, yet outdoes it by far with the comfortable rounded scales.

  

  
  
  I think we'll find these are very similar to the new LW models BKC is producing in both look and feel.
