Finally got my three knives back (two grips, one Pardue 530). I can't get over how good they came out. They did exactly what I asked and exceeded my expectations. Ryan McGinnis was very helpful and did an awesome job. Anyway, I want to know what other members think of the work done!

Looks nice, Beast! Thanks for letting us see some of the kinds of things they can do.

    Beast,

I have to say this was one of my favorite knives I've etched thus far with Benchmade. You had such a great font for your "Beast" text... was was it? I'd like to offer it to others.

KHealy, it would be nice if Benchmade would be willing to restore a Benchmade logo onto a blade. Sometimes our black blades get so scratched up that we get tired of looking at them and just remove all the coating. Unfortunately, that only leaves a shadow of the original Benchmade logo. It would be sweet to be able to get it lasered back on. Do you see them allowing that?

That would be a nice option. I have a 710D2 that's taken many hours to polish out a failed BK coating from and to restore the markings would be the icing on the cake.

    Hi Guys,

The problem with that is we can't promise that we can get it lined up exactly where the original mark was. Here we do all our engraving and position by hand where as when the blades are marked with the logo they are done by a larger auto fed laser. Our current laser only shows an outlined box of where the image will be not exactly where the wings etc. are. This is why we try to stay away from remarking the logos.

I suppose the alternative would be to have the blade replaced altogether.

    Katie,

I sent you a link for the font used. Keep up the good work!

Let me throw this out there...

If the original logo were removed entirely so that it was a 'clean' surface, so that there would be nothing that needed to be lined up precisely - would it then be possible to have the logo redone?

Oh, and nice work on Beasts knives. Glad you could join us here

If the Logo is completely removed I don't see why it would be a problem. Just make sure to send a special note with something along the lines of "Replace Butterfly Logo - Per Katie via Forum"

    Glad to be here
