Benchmade 560 Freek
I handled a 560 Freek today. Nice knife for the price point. I really like the blade shape and it dawned on me why. I came home and pulled out my Lone Wolf 40020 and the blade shape is very similar. There are some changes, but it is very similar.

I see it.
Good call.0 -
If you see that, then see this.

Yes, very close as well. It looks like the the spine in the area of the jimping is a little flatter but the blade shape/grind are pretty much the same.
It's a great blade shape. I might eventually pick up a Freek, but the handle material didn't really impress me.0 -
For the money it's the best thing going
It's my brand new beater..the harder you treat it the more you like it.0 -
I agree with you both. (Keep in mind I don't own a 560). There is tremendous value here, and the Freek is a great design for a working knife you need not worry about using hard. This being said, I'm kinda ancy for the next Freek, and to see what upgrades it's variants might get. Again, it's a nice design. But I wonder what Doug Ritter might have to say about it, in private, if you bought him a beer. 0 -
I looked at a Freek and I like the knife a lot, minus the handle. It did feel very comfortable though 0 -

Maybe after five beers or so the story might come out.0
