Custom Scales Question
Hey guys, I registered for the forum some time ago but I'm new to actually using it so please forgive me if this is common knowledge and/or has been covered already.
I was wondering if there was a site that carries custom handle scales to replace the factory scales - on my Barrages and Grips in particular. I've found a couple places in Germany but I'd like to stay in the US for this and not get into the triple-digits per set if possible. I don't really need anything fancy - basic G10 or aluminum would be great. I appreciate any and all help! Thanks!

Try Keyman or deathofallthings on this forum.
They make scales and do really good quality work.0 -
Thank you, I might just have to do that. I've been looking around at a lot of the old discussions the past few days and one thing I hear a lot is how well fit-and-finished the stuff these guys turn out is. The pictures I've seen are stunning. 0 -
DeathOfAllThings does amazing things with g10 and suchlike stuff. I'm extremely pleased with everything he's done for me. I'm especially excited about what he's working on for me now

Would you typically send your knife to one of them to have them fit the scales or do they just ship them to you? Like I mentioned I'd like a set for my 551 and my 580, G10 would be awesome. I'm guessing that since these are fairly common models (the Grip especially) they would already have some template for the dimensions and I would just have to let them know what I'd like color/texture wise. 0 -
It depends on if they have the model of knife you're looking for scales for. I think it would be best to ask them though. 0 -
