First Look Axis Stryker
It has arrived, the hut has come down...
Thoughts?
Well it is a Stryker with an Axis lock. All is good.
Keep in mind these pictures are of the 904 (Mini) and my 909SBK will be here later in the week.
Blade is all Stryker. I don't have the Nitrous version to compare it too, but the thumbstuds seem different, and in different I mean better.
You know my love of the first production markings (insert sarcasm). Now I heard that the 904 (satin PE) and the 909SBK were the only ones which bear the first production markings... As luck has it guess which two I ordered?
Yep.
The clip is nice and low profile, not super low profile as some of the knife sits above the pocket. Slightly less profile then the 300. Clip feels study with the Parkerized like coating.
The grooves in the handle are not as noticeable as in the original pictures we saw. The handle shape is a shrunk down Triage handle, which is pretty much the Stryker handle with the addition of a thumb ramp and pinky shelf.
The G-10 is grippy, so much so some might complain. It is a very fine texture but it will be abrasive I don't mind, and like it, but I can hear some complain about it's sandpaper quality now. I see future runs toning this down a bit.
All in all we knew what this knife would be, and it is a winner... Now the pictures.

Thank you for your post. I see that Stryker has utilized handle concept from "Triage 915/916" class. The deep carry clip seems to have been carried over as well.

Very nice...looking forward to it. Got email from headquarters today that my 909BK order status was upgraded to ordered. Hopefully the "shipped" email will follow tomorrow with knife in hand for the weekend. 0 -

I didn't notice this before, but it doesn't have a standard 3 hole pocket clip... Is that an Emissary clip? Or older Rukus/Bedlam style?0 -

Triage clip was mentioned, I believe.
I'm wondering if a Contego clip will fit, but it doesn't look like it. (Holes look wider on the 909/904).

The Contego and Triage clips are different for each other, so the wont fit.
On another note, i wonder if i could mount the 909's blade on my 915's handle. Theres a difference in blade thickness with the 909 measuring 0,124 inches vs. the 915's 0,130 inches, so i dont think they could be swapped.0 -

Why do you want to switch them? Willing to pay MSRP for $360~385?
