All done I think it turned out pretty good for a beginner0 -
Well done. Precisely what the 275 needs.
It actually doesn't carry too badly, tip up, with the pocket clip, at least compared to some other brand's models of similar size, but I took the clip off of mine pretty quickly and carry it in a pouch sheath.
At first I considered the 275 absurdly overbuilt, but the more I carry and use it, the more I like it. The ergonomics are really fantastic. It is an very well designed cutting tool. Once you get it in your hand, the extra strength doesn't get in the way at all. And it really is all-in in terms of materials and construction. It's a gorgeous knife.0 -
Yeah, the 275 is a little big for me to EDC. But I like it a lot and use it for chores or camping. 0 -
I got mine used so I didnt get the sheath with it 0 -
Nice work.
Before you dyed it was the leather natural or oiled at all. (Looks good before the dye too).
How much would you charge for one? Can you also use softer leather? (I know it wouldn't last as long but I love soft leather).
I assume you took the clip off?0 -
To be honest I'm just starting so I really don't know what a cost would be I used what I believe is a heavy veg tanned leather I'm going to Tandy leather tomorrow and getting more leather and picking up some more tools
What kind of leather are you thinking I can give it a shot the first pics the leather looks darker because I put it in the oven it helps with keeping the shape
It does have very good retention0 -

This the the first one I made I can try one with the clip on and not bake it should be a lot softer that was and the clip will add in the retention0 -
I carry my 275 every day and love it. The time I don't carry it is while working because it slipps out of my police uniform pants. It works great with a pair of blue jeans. I don't think its too big but I'm also 6'3. 0 -
Very nice. As TB mentioned, it would be nice for outdoor choir.

My 275 has gotten much easier to carry lately: 0 -
Thats nice PO. Is it a pancake style belt clip? 0 -
The maker call it a paddle, but pancake is just as accurate. It looks a little funky when it is off, but it works very well. It's a wide fold-over flap that holds the holster very stable, is very comfortable, and works with or without a belt. My only niggle about it is it is designed for a pistol holster, I think, and it pushes the bottom of the holster out to keep the top of the gun or knife in close to the body for good reason, but I think the tilt makes the bottom part of the holster stick out from your hip farther than it needs to. 0 -
Po, does it "feel" like the knife can fall out? That would make me nervous. Does it kind of "lock" into place, for lack of a better word? 0 -
Oh, hey, T-boss!
NO, absolutely not. Great question. This maker's trademark is actually "secondary security". The coyote colored overlay you see is actually a clip that snaps over the edges of the actual holster, pinches them together, and virtually locks the knife into the holster. To draw the knife, you have to pull out on that snap to allow the holster to open up, then pushing the knife forward and up extracts it. It is really quite ingenious.
Actually, the holster he did for one of my other knives was too secure, and I had to dremel away some of the holster to make it easier to draw.0
