Assisted like the -1,-2? Similar one piece scales, has S30V as opposed to the 154 on the dash's.

    Thanks for posting MCM.

Will this be one of the models up for silent auction @ Blade?

Honestly would have liked to see this in M4, S90V..even D2.

So much for the rumor of "No less than 1000 piece runs"

This is a good sign however. We may yet to see other version on a model that was believed to be beyond extinct.

That is very hot. I'd be picking that up if I could. I generally regret selling off all my 615s, and I like that solid G-10 scale version better than the original versions.

    Only 300?

    Dang...

I think 300 shops get one each.
    Not 100% though.

Not terribly exciting. I was hoping for the old style with a new insert or CF insert.

That sounds right. Given to ..? Premium dealer..? Premium Plus dealers..? Dealer status. X amount of purchased merch over the year. I think that what my Brick n Mortar said on how he acquired the 615-1,-2.

I too prefer the two piece scale's. This one is sexy tho'

That's just mean! Putting out a model that is only for dealers... I thought that's what Gold Class was for?

Just like any LE Benchmade releases on its own. Just gets shipped out to dealers across the US.

It is a good way for Benchmade to drive busness to their dealers. Instead of shopping online you are going to have to go out and find the brick and mortar stores near you. This drives traffic to the dealers which makes them happy, and that makes Benchmade happy.

So nice I had to call my local shop and If major distributors/shop gets one I bet my shop will get one and save it for me.

Just left a message for the owner lol.

Sorry, I'm not going to drive 90 minutes one way to the closest Benchmade dealer for a knife. There are thousands upon thousands of Benchmade fans who don't have a local dealer.

loonybin, but how can you not expect them to try? This is a really cool incentive to go visit them if you've got a local one, an interesting chase program if you don't, and there's 300.. it's not the most exclusive one they've ever put out there across a slew of retailers.

When they did the 806-901 they did this and had a discussion with Benchmade brass at the time that this was a good deal for their dealer network as it made folks look beyond the big 4-5 online retailers.

I am sure a phone call to a dealer that is not so close to you might get them to ship it out to you. May will do that.

Not something I would want to do all the time, but if there was a really cool LE and I had to drive an hour and half to get it, I might do that once in awhile. I would not want to do that for every knife I bought mind you.

I might check as my local Gander Mnt is now a full stocking Benchmade dealer. Whole line in a cool case. I might give them a look here in a week or two as I am sure it would still be around if they got one.

I suppose if they came out with the Rift in M390 or some such and Ti liners with CF inserts I'd drive that far for it. Heck, if they would just release it with a M390 blade and nothing else changed I might drive that far for it!

I will check my two BM dealers Here in my town. If I can score one or two is there anyone that would want it? I don't mind being the middle man if you all pay the shipping and actual cost. Receipt will be included. Of course that is if they have one.
