Important (for me) question
Hi BM guys,
I have a 1000-101 knife (it's still in US in NY)knife laws in Germany allow a max
85MM blade length(I believe it's 86MM original),could it be possible to make a blade length fitting the laws there.
Thanks in advance.

What about contacting the guy that makes the damascus blades and sells them on the bay? He makes them for the 940 and I think Ive seen a few other models he makes. I think Neuro has bought one from him.
Can you have the blade as long as it isnt attached to the knife? If so I would see about getting a shorter damascus blade made that would go in there.
Or just move to America.

You know it could be easy sharpened away it's just approximately a one mm,
I could do it by myself actually.
can't see me doing another blade for expensive Limited knife,
Perado said he have a grinder some time ago.
May be BM answer positive.
Thanks for inviting

But do you think grinding away part of the expensive Limited blade is any better?
That seems even more scary then having a different blade put on it. At least you would still have the original blade stored away in case you ever were able to put it back the way it was meant to be. If you grind it down there is no putting it back.

JR it was a Perado joke, nobody go to grind it shorter
But it could easy be done even with EdgePro it's just a millimeter.
Sure it's better if BM would do it.0 -
Gotcha.
That would be cool if BM would take it down for you.
I think they would charge more then the guy from ebay though.0 -
Laser, is that 85 mm law just for folders or all knives? I assume it's just for carry because I would think your kitchen knives would be longer. 0 -

Laser, is that 85 mm law......
It is only autos restrictions. So not switchables over 85mm no ballies and OTF
and not double-edged blades.0 -

Thats just crazy. Like what do they think is going to happen? Just because you push a button to deploy the blade it is any more "deadly" more "dangerous"
So you can have a knife that is non auto that is 150mm?
Knife laws are dumb around the world it would seem.
Crazy that we have let this happen.

I hesitate to even inquire about your gun laws...
